Transparent Pricing, Clear Answers, True Health

The goal is clarity in your healthcare. Medications can be necessary sometimes, but using medications to cover symptoms while never addressing the cause should not be the main focus of your healthcare. There should be no surprise billing in healthcare, and the costs should be reasonable. “Klar” (pronounced like “car” with an “L”) is the Norwegian word for “clear.”

AS A MEMBER OF KlarCare DPC, HERE ARE A FEW OF THE BENEFITS YOU’LL ENJOY:

  • No copays for office visits and steeply discounted imaging, labs and medications.

  • Same-day/next day scheduling with little to no waits and extended visits of an hour or more, if you’d like.

  • Quality time with your doctor; ask all the questions you want – I actually want you to!

  • A physician and nurse practitioner who know your story inside and out.

  • The choice to be seen at our office or at your home.

  • The knowledge that you are one of only about 300 patients to which I am giving my attention, instead of 3,000 like in the typical system.

  • Your doctor’s cell phone number. It’s like having a doctor in the family you can text or email about things.

  • Inexpensive and direct service. I work directly with you instead of hassling with insurance.

  • Specialized Functional Medicine training few doctors in the state have pursued.

  • All of the above allows me to engage in healing patients and solving the problems instead of just using medication to hide the problem

“The First Step in Osteopathy is the belief in your own body.”

Our modern fee-for-service medicine does not support doctors who want to take time with patients to learn their whole story and educate them about the most important aspects of health like diet, exercise, and stress management. The modern doctor is pushed to get people in and out of the office. Most of the focus of an appointment is on the medications patients are taking. Nutrition is relegated to the nutritionist to discuss- and insurance almost never covers nutrition consults. It is uncommon for doctors to get any nutritional training in medical school, despite the fact diet is the root of most of our diseases.

In the Norwegian healthcare system and in Norwegian culture, there is a focus on getting outside (“friluftsliv”), social connection, good quality food, and protecting the environment. The citizens know exactly where their healthcare dollar is going, instead of having costs hidden inside insurance plans it’s hard to understand with outrageous costs for medication and services from providers. The outcomes of this healthcare system are known the world over as being an incredibly cost-effective form of healthcare with good outcomes that citizens are excited to be a part of. My husband and I witnessed this first hand when we visited my relatives there in 2019.

The goal of KlarCare is to bring back a focus on the doctor-patient relationship and to get insurance and hospital administration out of the primary care office. Your healthcare should be a decision between you and your doctor… not you and your doctor and insurance executives and hospital executives and the government and whoever else wants a piece of the healthcare pie these days.
